Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. We accept major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Solo.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax or over the Internet.
Once you have placed an order you will receive conformation of your order in the form of an email including information about the Distance Selling Regulations, Returns, Faulty Goods and Guarantees.
Ownership
The goods remain the sole property of Samways Cycles until full payment has been received by us at which time title passes to you. You will be responsible for the care of the goods once you have recived delivery of them.
Delivery within mainland UK is free on all orders over £50 excluding bikes and sale items. Bike orders are shipped using a insured next working day courier. Orders made on Friday or Saturday are sent on the following Monday, if the bike is not is stock the customer will be informed of the expected delivery date. All bikes over £400 recieve free next day delivery, all bikes under £400 are charged at £10 for childrens bikes and £15 for adult bikes.
Delivery prices quoted are for UK Mainland addresses which include Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles. The Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles may incur additional charges ( e-mail us for a quotation ) and may also experience delivery delays.
We endeavour to fulfil U.K orders within 7 working days of receipt of your order. If the order is available and required urgently we can discuss alternative shipment details. Should a product be out of stock or no longer available we will advise you by email. In the event of any shortage, mis delivery or other discrepancy the customer is required to notify Samways Cycles, in writing as soon as practicable. If you cannot do this within 7 days please contact us before that time elapses to agree an extension of time. Customers should try to retain all packaging in the event of a claim or return within the terms of this agreement.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK, 17.5% VAT is included.
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption and transferred using SSL encrypted technology. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Distance Selling Act
You have the right to cancel the contract relating to your order at any time up to the end of 7 working days after you receive the goods. To exercise your right of cancellation, you must give written notice to Samways Cycles by letter or fax giving details of the goods ordered and date received. Notification by phone is not acceptable. If you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been delivered to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Samways Cycles at your own cost. Returned items must be adequately packaged for return by post. It is your responsibility to ensure returned goods are fully insured. All returned goods must be as new and without having been installed or used, where you are not cancelling because the goods are defective. If you are cancelling because they are defective then use must only have been sufficient to establish the defect. It would be appreciated if you would also return all internal packaging, manuals and protective bags, however small. Samways Cycles cannot take responsibility for goods that are damaged or lost whilst being returned. Samways Cycles will refund you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. If you do not return the goods as required, Samways Cycles may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods. Exceptions to the Distance Selling Act
You do not have the right to cancel the contract under the Distance Selling Act if the order is for computer software DVD's CD's or audio or video tapes which has been unsealed, or if you are not a consumer i.e. a company, partnership, sole trader or any other commercial body or registered charity.
All guarantees for products are provided entirely by the manufacturers/UK importers and are subject to terms contained therein. Customers are reminded to complete all warranty cards/documents upon receipt of goods where appropriate. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 28 days of receipt. See Returns Policy for more details of returning goods.
The customer confirms that they shall comply with any or all rules relating to installation of the product, if you cannot understand the instructions or you feel any part is missing or ambiguous then you should telephone us for assistance. We will contest any loss or personal injury which results from forced, misdirected, inappropriate or unqualified installation.

Faulty Goods
Where goods purchased are alleged to be defective, the customer is required to inform Samways Cycles in the form of a phone call explaining the problem. You must produce proof of purchase when returning goods and would be well advised to include a letter detailing the problem so as to avoid misunderstanding. If the goods are defective your return costs will be refunded. Please return such goods to Samways Cycles to inspect which will both allow us to discuss the problem with you and decide on a mutual remedy and allow manufacturers to undertake inspections so as to allow production methods to be modified. Parts modified or adapted by the customer shall not be warranted by the manufacturer nor be liable for any failures as a result of the modification.
